FSFI “VGNKI” PROVIDER OF INTERLABORATORY COMPARISON TESTS SUCCESSFULLY PASSED THE COMPETENCE CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
As part of the fulfillment of the requirements of the Federal Law “On accreditation in the national accreditation system” dated December 28, 2013 No. 412-FZ, the provider of interlaboratory comparison tests (ICT) The Russian State Center for Animal Feed and Drug Standardization and Quality (FSFI “VGNKI”) successfully passed the mandatory procedure for confirming competence in assessing the quality and safety of food products.
During the inspection, RosAccreditation experts assessed the compliance of the Provider’s quality management system with the legislation of the Russian Federation, the requirements for providers, coordinators and participants in interlaboratory experiments, documentation of tests and the practice of their application in the organization.
Provider employees organized and checked 4 rounds of ICT, in which the laboratories completed all tasks successfully. The following were modeled: chloramphenicol in honey, nitrofuran metabolites in meat, ruminant DNA in feed, coliform bacteria in food products.
Currently, the FSFI “VGNKI” ICT provider is awaiting an order from the Federal Accreditation Agency to confirm the competence of an accredited person.
Participation of laboratories in proficiency testing programs implemented through ICT is an important tool for confirming the competence of testing laboratories and a means of improving the quality of research test results.
The scope of accreditation of the FSFI “VGNKI” provider covers more than 120 determined indicators in food products of plant and animal origin, feed and feed additives. Unique accreditation record number in the register of accredited persons RA.RU.430277.
The FSFI “VGNKI” provider, at the request of participants, organizes quantitative and qualitative rounds of proficiency testing, develops and provides control samples, processes results and interprets data using statistical and calculation methods. Based on the results of completing the programs, participants are provided with proficiency testing reports and certificates of participation in ICT.
