SPECIALISTS OF FGBU "VGNKI" PARTICIPATED IN THE BUSINESS PROGRAM OF THE "AGROS-2023" EXHIBITION
On January 26th, 2023, specialists of the Russian State Center for Animal Feed and Drug Standardization and Quality (FGBU “VGNKI”) took part in two events of the business program during the International Exhibition of Breeding, Feed, Veterinary Medicine and Technologies for Livestock, Pigs, Poultry and Feed Production "AGROS-2023" at IEC "Crocus Expo".
Deputy director Vasilina Gritsyuk and Head of the Certification Body Ekaterina Agrinskaya presented at the seminar called "Sustainable development of animal husbandry based on international requirements for safety and quality of products", which was dedicated to the internationally recognized methods of control and standards for safety and quality of products.
The main issues regarding the formation of the registration dossier for a feed additive and the requirements for the documents contained in it as well as the process of examination and state registration were covered by Vasilina Gritsyuk.
The Deputy director explained the procedure for state registration of feed additives, which are used to enrich the diet of animals with insufficient amount of nutrients, increase animal productivity, improve the consumer properties of feed and livestock products and normalize animal’s physiological metabolism.
In addition, the speaker talked in detail about state fees for registration and amendments to the registration dossier for feed additives.
Vasilina Gritsyuk noted the main mistakes that applicants make when filling out the dossier: absence of necessary indicators of the quality and safety of the feed; submission of research protocols that were issued by inspection bodies with inappropriate scope of accreditation; incompletion of reports on the results of toxicological studies are incomplete; absence of reports that confirm the intended purpose of the feed additive.
Head of the Certification body Ekaterina Agrinskaya presented a report on the verification of conformity of feed and feed additives for animals. She also announced the results of the analysis of the register of declarations on conformity for the period of 3 months from 09/01/2022 to 12/31/2022, and noted that some producers continue to implement mandatory certification of products according to the Order № 982 of the Russian Federation, which became invalid on 09/01/2022 due to the entry into force of the Order № 2425of the Russian Federation.
The speaker also touched upon issues like non-compliance of documents to the existing standards (outdated GOST requirements, an incomplete list of documents for declaring products, reference in GOSTs for products to outdated control methods, etc.).
In the final part of her speech, Ekaterina Agrinskaya spoke about the activities of the Certification Body of the FGBU "VGNKI".
Chief researcher of the Department of scientific planning Oleg Sklyarov made a presentation on improving a control system for animal brucellosis on the territory of the Russian Federation, which was presented at the conference “Actual epizootic situation in the Russian Federation. Modern methods of prevention and control of infectious animal diseases”.
Oleg Sklyarov listed the list of documents that regulate the procedure for carrying out anti-brucellosis measures, spoke about the means and methods for diagnosing the disease as well as the control system, which includes prophylaxis and organization of medicinal work.
